The Cranbrook Sinfonia
Under the new leadership of Ingrid Sellschop this year after the long service of Priscilla Palmer, the members of the Cranbrook Sinfonia convene for performances on an occasional basis and, in particular, to provide orchestral support for the concerts of the Cranbrook and District Choral Society. In addition to accompanying the choir, the Sinfonia often performs orchestral works as part of our concerts.
The great majority of the players in the Sinfonia are teaching professionals from the many large school music departments in this part of Kent. The composition of the Sinfonia is remarkably stable, few of the instrumentalists having changed since the orchestra was formed some fifteen years ago.
